Why is Idaho at the bottom of the barrel with physician to patient ratio and access to care? Dr. Perry Brown from Full Circle Health reports that physicians are very clear on why they aren’t choosing Idaho, and part of that is our politics, and this is not just about women’s reproductive rights. To be clear, we are behind states like Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, and Oklahoma which in some cases even outlaw exceptions for rape and incest. Idaho is creating an environment that physicians are not voluntarily selecting when presented with so many other options. What do we do when we hear doctors tell us why they aren’t coming here?
