Australia is still facing major skill shortages. The new migration system will address these needs and therefore a new visa with 3 streams will be announced. These include: 1. Essential skills pathway - for workers in critical roles such as aged care and childcare making under $70,000 per annum. 2. Core skills pathway - for skilled professional in roles such as engineering and healthcare making between $70,000 to $135,000 per annum. 3. Specialist skills pathway for highly skilled professionals making above $135,000 per annum. This excludes trade workers.
